BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ): High school teens gather to meet other Catholic Christian teens and their friends. Sundays, Church Hall 7-8:30 pm. Check us out on our website www.smmbasic.com. Contact the BASIC Office, 482-1219 x 234, or cwendt@smmbasic.com.

BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY: Assist families in planning Liturgy for funeral vigils, Masses and interments. Provides follow-up and support for those left grieving. Contact: Deacon George Bednar, 484-8079.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA: Organization for young boys from 5th grade to age 18. Builds independence and character. Meets every Wednesday, 7:30-8:30pm at School Hall. Contact: Randy Wendt, 482-2367.

CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF AMERICA: Organization of women to raise money for charitable work, i.e. Seminarians, Catholic Relief, Habitat for Humanity, etc., and support the parish. Meets the first Tuesdays, 7:00 pm. In School Hall. Contact Lorna Neumeier, 484-3965.

CENACLE MOVEMENT: Prayer group; meets in the church Tuesdays, 7:00 pm. Recites rosary and additional prayers for priests and religious all over the world. Contact Jim Fagnant, 484-3896.

CHARISMATIC PRAYER GROUP: Gathers weekly to give praise and worship to God through the expression of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Offer petitions for the parish community, individuals and the world’s needs. Meets every Monday, 7:15 pm in the Music Room at the Church Hall. Contact Beryl Alfino, 482-8396.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE: Food pantry from noon to 5:00 pm, Mondays. Assists in emergencies with utilities, rent, etc. Accept baby and young children’s clothing on the 1st Monday of each month, which are also needed for families. Contact Jessica Bessette, 484-0532.

COFFEE & DONUTS: Provides opportunity for hospitality after Sunday morning Masses. Fund raising opportunity for parish groups who volunteer. Contact Parish Office, 484-0532.

LITURGICAL MINISTRY: There are many opportunities for the baptized to share their gifts in service of the parish in liturgical ministries. Formation and training are provided for all who wish to answer the call to service. Contact the Parish Office, 484-0532, for further information on the ministries listed below, except where noted.
 
ALTAR SERVERS: Young people 5th grade and up who wish to serve by assisting the priests and other ministers during worship.

ART & ENVIRONMENT: Prepares seasonal environment in the church and chapel according to the liturgical calendar.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: Assist with distribution of Holy Communion at Sunday, weekday and other liturgies. Interview required.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS to the SICK: Commissioned Eucharistic Ministers who bring the Eucharist to sick parishioners in their homes, nursing homes or hospital whenever needed.

LECTORS: Proclaim the word of God at Sunday, daily and special liturgies.

LITURGY BOARD: Read and study church liturgical documents and directives and set vision and goals for parish worship; help form parish community in liturgical principles and directives.

MUSIC MINISTRY: Wide variety of choirs, cantors and instrumentalists that work together to establish a common repertoire and a spirit of unity and celebration at all Masses. Contact Michella Williams, Director of Music, 484-0532.

HOSPITALITY and USHERS: Greet and welcome all who attend Mass and assisting with various services such as weekly collection during Mass.

WEDDING COORDINATORS: Arrange for and conduct wedding rehearsal, coordinate florists, ushers, photographer, etc. Set up church/chapel for liturgy.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY: Dedicated to serving individuals in need. Our distinction is that, "No act of charity is foreign to our society," as we travel to visit with those we serve. Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the St. Mary Magdalen School Hall. Contact Marc Melinkovich, 987-7757.

SEPARATED, DIVORCED, WIDOWED CATHOLICS (SDWC): Support group providing both educational and social meetings-2nd & 4th Wednesdays each month, 7:00 pm, SMM School, room 8. Contact Shirley Saffire, 482-4614.

SEWING CIRCLE: Makes quilts, receiving blankets, etc. for layettes for needy babies. Christmas items are made to raise money at a Holiday Bazaar to complete the layettes. Volunteers are needed. Contact: Connie Escarino, 987-1653 or Mariette Coolidge, 987-3128.

SMALL CHURCH COMMUNITIES: Parishioners meet weekly in small groups to read and reflect on the next Sunday’s scripture readings. Contact Cecilia Kwolek, 484-2325.

SUPER SENIORS: Social Organization for seniors (over 55). Meets 2~ Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am, Church Hall for education and, sometimes, lunch. Also participate in one day trips to museums, stage shows and trips to Laughlin. Contact Gary Barrett, 482-3317.

YOUNG LADIES INSTITUTE: Charitable organization to help support the education of men for priesthood, Make-A-Wish, shower gifts for Life Center, etc. Meets 3rd Monday of each month, 10:45 am, Church Hall for rosary, lunch and meeting.
