Children's Liturgy

The word of God is powerful!  More common experiences, understandings and sharing of it can only lead to greater community.  The readings each Sunday provide opportunities for the development of the children's faith.  It is hoped that with regular attendance the children will receive a greater familiarity with the love for the scripture and love for liturgy.

The leaders of St. Mary Magdalen's Children's Liturgy of the Word make every effort to provide an environment in which children can learn that God and Church are an integral part of their lives and that through this participation and preparation the children will have a greater understanding and awareness of God speaking to his people.

The children hear readings from the Children's Lectionary and they are encouraged to actively participate in discussions and dramatic interpretations of the Gospel readings.   It is intended for any child in grades Kindergarten thru Fifth grades who wish to participate.

Offered at the 10:00 am Mass
in The Music Room at the Church Hall
 There is no need to register.

Resources and training are provided and participants must be registered parishioners and VIRTUS qualified.

Also, please note that when the group appears to be large,
we would welcome and encourage a few parents to come and assist with the children.
