As pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Parish (the communities that meet at both the church and the chapel) I have the primary oversight responsibility for the pastoral care of the parish family.  That overall responsibility involves consideration of both the current and future needs of St. Mary Magdalen's parish, and making sure we have the financial resources to meet them.  

The Financial Council and I have been reviewing the income and expense reports for the past few years, and have concluded that we need to re-initiate the Offertory Increase Program that was originally introduced to our parish in 2001. We are asking you to consider the responsibility that each of us has to contribute whatever we can so that the needs of the whole parish family can be met.  I'm confident that this process will highlight the need for all parishioners to participate in the life of our parish in some new and deeper way, to whatever degree is possible for our particular circumstances.

Over the past several years I have always been bowled-over by your great generosity whenever there has been an appeal for those in need.  I know that we can count on that same generosity when it comes to meeting the regular needs of our own parish family.

In every way, may Christ be more loved and more faithfully served in this corner of The Kingdom called St. Mary Magdalen Parish!
