*Attention*
Dearest Parishioners and Friends,
It is with great sadness that I write this bulletin article notifying our parish that there are people who seek to thieve from and decive our parishioners.
For months now there have been several attempts by hackers and thieves, using our priests’ names by text messages or emails, in order to lure parishioners into purchasing Gift Cards for large amounts of money, then instructed to message or email them back with the Gift Card codes. The messages state that we (the priests), are attending to the needs of a dying person or in a meeting and cannot return your calls or messages, so to please message or email back the codes at which time the thieves would have enough information to use the grift card and your money.
Please do NOT do this! We, your priests, would NEVER ask you to do such a thing. So far, it seems that these thieves are using information provided in our parish bulletin or website to get phone numbers or emails to contact people and try to get them to purchase the cards. It is very disappointing that anyone would do this and take advantage of good Christian people and their charity.
Please know that we have reported this to the Archdiocese and to the proper authorities. Surprisingly, we were told that it has been happening around the Archdiocese and other Dioceses as well. Let us pray together for the souls of these thieves and an end to this nonsense. If you ever receive a message like this, please report it to the authorities and call us at the Parish Office to inform us as well.
Peace and Blessings,
Fr. Preston
Estimados feligreses y amigos:
Paz y bendiciones,
P. Preston
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. John 13:34
As pilgrims on a faith journey,
we seek to grow in these particular areas:
Evangelization:
To more fully answer our baptismal call to live and share the life
and the love and the message of Jesus Christ.
Spirituality:
To be nourished by the Word and the Eucharist in such a way that our hearts are engaged, our minds are receptive, and our energies are applied to the great adventure of being disciples of Jesus.
Service:
To more generously give of our time, our talents, and our treasure
to meet the needs of our parish and the broader community.

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will repay him for his deed.”
